Who
Koh Lanta Island Notes is written by a small independent editorial team, signed as a team.
We check every fact against operators, booking pages and park information, and date it.
How
| Step | What we do |
|---|---|
| Read | Operators’ own route pages first (Bundhaya, Tigerline), then live booking pages (Bookaway), news and park information. |
| Measure | Beach lengths and distances come from OpenStreetMap. They are straight lines, labelled as such. |
| Date | Every fare, time and fee in a table carries the source and the day we read it. |
| Confirm | A figure appears only if we read it on a source that day, or the page marks it unconfirmed. |
All sources are on the sources page, and photo credits on the image credits page.
Why
Koh Lanta is long. Where you stay decides how far you are from the boats, Old Town and the park, and which boats run changes with the season. This site puts those distances and seasons side by side, with dates on every figure.
How the site earns money
Some pages link to tours on GetYourGuide. If you book through one, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
What the dates mean
“Checked” is the day we last read the source. Boat fares and seasons change, especially around October and May.
